Travle Powers

Im trying to figure out wich travle power i should go with on osme of my characters right now im kinda looking at my Merc/Traps MM. Ive been playing for a while and i have a fair idea of how the different powers fit toghet as far as speed and other aspects like that and im not sure wich would be the best one to go with for him. I kinda want to keep him to his character in that he has no real powers outside of anything he hasnt gotten from training so im kinda stuck im going to go with leadership fitness for now at least until it becomes inherant and posible stealth.

Really any travel power will work well for you; just pick whichever seems to suit you best. Flight is certainly the easiest, and you could pick up Rocket Boots to hand wave the question of flying without any real powers... it's an extension of all your gizmos and gadgets in your traps.

Other than that, just pick what you want to play... after all, you're playing the character, not any of the rest of us.

(I'd also suggest slowing down just a little in your typing so you're more coherent... I had some trouble understanding you.)

COH has just been murdered by NCSoft. http://www.change.org/petitions/ncso...city-of-heroes

Really all the travel powers will be outside your character's origin if you're basing off of what he only got from training. All the travel powers are really outside the realm of what you can learn from simple physical training.

What you could do is make the rocket boots (or tech wings) costume piece, slap them on your character, then flying as a travel power would be within reach as your flying would be (gadget) training. This wouldn't be recommended since you are /traps and need to be near the ground most of the time.

The next best thing (for concept) would be to pretend you're teleporting using a device. This works in concept but the TP animation makes it not so believable.

You could also get Super Jump, which *may* be slightly unbelievable, but not too extreme (since your mercs also have SJ). If you *really* wanted to be all natural, you could use SJ to "skip" along the ground, only tapping spacebar so you don't jump too far off the ground. This is probably most believable (for staying in character), but takes the most effort on the user to constantly implement.

SS would work (your mercs run much faster than most toons with sprint), but that darn animation ...

Just use your imagination

Rocket Boots, Piston Boots, Anti-Grav Boots, Teleport Device, Jetpacks, etc are all valid methods of transportations used by Natural/Tech origin characters

Bah. Your Origin is just that - your origin. It doesn't have to have any bearing on how you get powers later on (especially those not in your primary and secondary sets).

After all, your Natural Mastermind could become imbued with Super Speed due to being bombarded by Magic while fighting the Circle of Thorns for Mister Boccor or the Legacy Chain while working for Peter Thelmari(?) in Cap, as an example.

Or maybe something about those lasers higher level Arachnos Soldiers keep hitting you with has altered your cellular structure, allowing you to emit an antigravity field around your body (Hover/Fly). Ain't Science grand?

Remember, even Batman has regularly gained new powers from Tech (mostly battle suits, vehicles, robot armies) rather than from his Natural gifts. Hell, he even becomes immortal via Magic on at least one occasions (merging with R'as al Ghul in the Lazarus Pit(?) in ''Superman & Batman: Generations'').
