You're spreadsheets need some work. If you refer to the Pylon results thread and remove all the /shields builds, you'll find claws and DB leading the field for a reason.

How about the fastest killer for soloing hero alignment missions? Assuming even level mobs set to a single player team size. I'd assume burst damage is king here.

Interestingly enough I've been running those with a couple of characters, one a 50 BS/Shield scrapper fully soft capped and one a 50 Ill/Rad controller with perma-PA. The Ill/Rad averages running 5 tip missions in 30 minutes, the BS/Shield takes closer to an hour to crank out 5 tips.

Now if your objective is simple mayhem and killing everything on the map then the Scrapper's the choice... the Controller is much faster at moving to the objectives and taking them out surgically. Superior Invisibility and all the control and distraction make going to the objectives, getting the glowie or freeing a hostage and moving on to the next a piece of cake. Typical time to finish a tip mission with the Ill/Rad is 5 minutes.

And that is in fact why they don't come close.
You can't pair them with /shields... :-(

Apologies, I mentioned shields being the best secondary in that post, but I didn't spell it out clearly why that fact meant that the DB and Claws primaries - and Spines, though it'd trail the pack anyway - lagged behind.

I was in work and didn't have my CoH stuff on hand (including the spreadsheets - which I am always quite happy to add to!) or I'd have reminded myself that you can't pair Katana with Shields. I hate the fact that this is simply because of the left handed-animations. The ability to stack -resist procs is wasted on a /Regen build!!

I had actually been following the pylon thread fairly closely a while ago, since then the only exception to that rule which I notice is Iggy's DB build paired with /Elec which managed to hit 262 DPS at one point which is through Fire/Shield and nearly into DM territory. I presume the damage aura made up the difference from having no AAO... I do wonder though if working Patron Pets into some of those builds (the ones that aren't /shields and so don't rely on keeping feeder mobs nearby which the aforementioned pet could get distracted by) would make a noticable difference.

I'm gonna suggest dm/fire. You get off a nice soul drain and FE together will make for some incredible st burst damage that isn't super short lived (30 duration on SD, 20 on FE compared to 10 with build up). Decent enough survivability for most stuff, especially if you have a team doing their thing nearby.

My only DB is paired with Dark, and he can only manage around 190 ST DPS
