Nictus - dead (though I'd still like to see storyarcs for them - ah well, that's why we have AE.)
No new ones confirmed/announced.
(Edit - "In limbo" is basically "not confirmed dead, no word on them being worked on.")

It was Blood of the Black Stream, not Black Islands in the Stream. I think the only other rumored EAT was Incarnates, which of course we are now getting in another form.
Vet rewards came about in Issue 8 (October 2006), so I believe Jack was still with the game at the time.

My bad Black Islands in the Stream was the Praetorian top ten hit in the 80s by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. The evil goatee wearing Praetorain Kenny and Dolly.
Ironically both songs were written by Primal Earths Bee Gees.
So back in the days of Jack, when everything was so different, speculation of future Epic ATs was rampant. Who remembers what those were? I remember Coralax, Black Islands in the Stream, and something that was birdlike, we ended up getting wings instead.
So what were the others?
PS was Jack Emmert still working on CoH when vet rewards came out and we got wings?
