IcePHIRE twins in action!
Cool!
I've never managed to get very far with Cold Domination myself, but I can see it would make an awesome duo. I love the Dark Mastery pool. Soul Drain, double Sleet, Blaster level rain powers... nice! Its good to see them working in practice like the numbers would predict.
That downstairs triple spawn room of death makes a very good demo. Been there, died many times...
And hats off to you for managing to do all this completely manually. I can see how your stealth powers help out a lot with that for setting up each group in quite a leisurely manner.
Very, very cool!
Nice work and excellent multi-tasking skills!

thanx for the compliments....
No more bellyaching threads about Defenders being gimp.....
Match 2 together and all kinds of ungodly things can happen, what no other classes can handle (except Corruptors lol)....
Purpose of the video is to showcase what Defenders CAN DO. Every powerset has its own strength, potential, and also inherent weaknesses. Its up to the player to work out other powers to cover or mitigate those weaknesses....
Ran with The IcePHIRE combo yesterday on an ITF. Was set at +4 and we were just coasting through. We dropped the diff for the last couple missions, but probably could've kept it there. Plus, three of the eight characters were under 50. Between the two Cold/Ice/Dark and a TA/Arch, the mobs couldn't really do much of anything. Good stuff!
aye, it was great playing with you and your wife. Did enjoy the challenge of +4 mobs lol. That Dark Dwarf ambush on top was EPIC! Never seen SO many dark dwarfs in my life (nearly 30?) and all lv54. Our only teamwipe. Re-gathered and took them out in two groupings..... very epic fighting. You did a great job tanking w/ your Invuln. NBQ's sonic blaster was the only teammate insistent on dying lol, he was one of our under 50's.
This diffy accident actually inspiring some sgmembers to do the ITF on a +4scale for some epic fighting.... its great fun to actually feel challenged & pushed to the edge, then just coasting/burning thru things all the time....
Nice video! Major props to you for being that efficient/effective at dual-boxing!
You da best mayne, you deed it

it was really just a quick production, nothing fancy. Used Fraps free version (locked in 30second recording blocks) and compressed down & re-edited using Windows Movie Maker.
These are the defenders who have that build posted in a previous thread...
preferred Offense string - Soul Drain, Sleet stack, Aim, Ice Storm, Blizzard (other casts Heat Loss to counter nuke end suck). Depending on how many mobs around you, the other can pre-cast Heat Loss (needs about 16+ hits) and will OVERWELM the Nuke's -Recovery, and the nuke caster will INSTANTLY start recovering up their end...
questions about dualboxing, i get lots of PMs about this. No, i dont use any 3rd party programs to sync powers/movements. Its done all manually. Two keyboards, two mice, two monitors, two boxes.... yeah, i dont think a program would work effectively EXCEPT in a real controlled situation and about 2 powers would be used. Ive tri-boxed before, but that was pushing my level of multi-tasking and ingame effectiveness. There's some that farm go up to 6-box, but those are pet users and wholly reliant on the pets to react. That wont be feasible for every normal situation. Despite skepticism, ive excelled in MSTF's & MITFs, and had led a successful MKTF dual-boxing.
Anyone can do it, some naturally better than others. Just got to have the ability to multi-task good and have a strong situational/environmental awareness and prioritize. In the end, its PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
