BLASTER: I'm spending a fortune on slotting but am I doing it right

Hi all I'm fairly new to all this but starting to understand the importance of slotting (invention buffs) correctly into sets.

I'm currently a Lvl 43 Blaster with Pistols, Dual Wield, Empty Clips, Bullet Rain, Executioner's Shot, Piercing Rounds, Hail of Bullets, Web Grenade, Targeting Drone, Trip Mine, Gun Drone.

However I'm not sure 100% if there is a specific set for each weapon that is going to be more effective than another ... at the moment I've sort of based it on if it costs a lot for the Recipe or Buff then that must be the best one.

But things like Health and Energy i'm really not quite sure about either .. Ive started slotting health but the set contributes to everything else when the thing I want the most is to stay alive and also not run out of energy ..

is there any suggestions or I'm sure there maybe a definitive list somewhere on the forum or maybe its a guarded secret which makes everyone a little different.

I teamed with a team of 8 on a farming mission against 10 set lvl 54's ... amongst the team was a guy who had created a char specifically to PVP and he was 'HARD as nails' .. we had a team wipe when two groups of 10 came against us ... well a team wipe all except this one guy who kept on fighting until either we managed to revive or get back from hospital and i'm talking about for many many mins ... by the time we joined in there was only 2 enemy left and he was still there fighting ..

He'd spent Billions on slotting correctly and you could tell ..

Anyway that why I thought maybe I should start to get it right at this level

Anyhelp would be great.

the arch type of that guy would help, but the standard that would help would be capped hp and as much recharge as possible

I think I'm gettin trolled here, but I'll bite. Your DP/Devices can hit smashing/lethal defense cap (45%) relatively easy in pve. But you're in the wrong forum. Go to blasters forum and ask about hitting s/l softcap on your DP/Devices.

If you are looking for PvP advice about your DP/Devices......reroll and don't waste your money trying to make it good, it just won't be. Sorry but that is just the truth, maybe you can use it for PvE but start a new toon to PvP with if you want one that will perform well.

I'd say stick with the DP/Dev, that way any kills you manage to get I think you could send a legitimate petition to the devs to have that players character deleted, citing that "Well they did die to a DP/Dev blaster" I don't think anyone could really argue with that.

Bonus points if you take Teleport as a travel power.
