Hover + stance bind?

Is there a way to bind one of the new stances with activating hover? I tried it and I get the stance but it's immediately interrupted. And when coasting to a halt there is a noticeable lag before I can activate the stance by itself.

There is no real way unless you "cheat" by pressing a bind multiple times. Power activation will always interrupt emotes. The easiest thing you could do is just bind the emote to a button (or a macro) and activate that after you activate Hover.

If you still want to "cheat," then I'd suggest using toggleon like this:

/bind r "powexec_toggleon hover$$em stancevillain4"

And then just keep pressing R until you get the desired result.

When I first heard about Stances I was really hopeful that they where adding something like Champions has where you can pick your movement and idle animations but then when i saw they where just emotes it was disappointing. That being said i still love the emotes just hate that we have to jump through hoops to half-*** get them to work with travel powers

Thanks, I'll try that out. It's kind of frustrating to have to wait so long after I stop moving before i can activate the stance. My concept character is one that feels her powers make her superior and goes so far as to hover rather than share the ground with those she considers beneath her. Villain stance 2 really adds to the haughtiness I want to depict.

I'm hoping that if they ever do power pool customization (I'd love to suppress the flying "cloud") that we can choose animations as well, as you can with martial arts or super strength. It would be great to be able to pick a hover stance or even your fly pose with the costume create rather than worry about binds and macros.

If they ever do mess with general movement power customization, I'll be right with you suggesting just that, among other things. I feel that is one of the two biggest things left to add to the game, the other being able to use non-weapon powersets with a weapon (say, ice blasts out of a techno-rifle) and vice-versa.

I'll add my voice to the "stances in this game should have been handled like they did them in CO" crowd. This game is superior to CO in many ways, but one of the few things that game still does better is its stances.

What we got here last month are really nothing more than "motionless emotes" and they suffer all the restrictions other emotes suffer in this game. They are better than nothing, but as pointed out trying to use them in binds is problematic at best. There's really no way to cleanly do things like the auto "Hover+Stance" bind without cheating it.

Also on the related note hopefully we'll get a choice of pose options with the travel powers eventually.

Agreed. I do hope they try their hand at it. Like almost everything else, they'll probably do it better than CO if they bother to try.
