The damage tick does nowhere near full damage to the player, so it is safe to test it on your own. Just go stand next to some hellions in AP and fire it off. If you don't see the orange floating text above your head, or the combat spam, you're good.

OK, ya got me.
I went into Freedom, and rested it, and got burned - literally. Didn't die, I was smart and tested it on some lowbies. Took damage.
Sooo.... burn still not fixed on live...
Is it fixed on Test? Can anyone who has easy access to Test try it out?
PS - This may be obvious, but the current Burn issue is only on Blasters, NOT other AT's Burns.

I should be wallowing in hope, that *this* patch will fix Burn. Sadly, its been so long that there is only a tiny sliver of hope - just enough so that when it *doesn't* happen today, I can feel miserable,

The fix to Burn was done in this patch, which went to Test 6 days after your first post in this thread. There have been no patches to Live since then. Patches go Live on Tuesdays most of the time, except hotfixes, which don't go through the Test Server since they are emergency fixes for server stability issues.
Expect that patch no sooner than Tuesday, and possibly later than that.

Ahhh - for a moment, everything lit up because I thought that it being on test meant that it should be on Live when the servers come back up, but then I read further into your post and saw that for some reason patches get applied on Tuesdays, and hope for a fix soon was again dashed.
Question: I thought that they can only patch Live while it is down, ie, on Thursdays? Is this not true, do they patch the game as it is running?
