Updater won't connect

Strangely, the same is happening to me. Connecting from CT
I called technical support. Apparently there was something on their end having to do with 'bad port feeds' which they found within a couple of hours. They were thankful because they said it would have been effecting other people as well.

Servers went down at 7:am eastern time. They might still be having issues getting the system back up.
Maintenance normally set for 2 hours starting at 7:Am Eastern Time. It only been 1 hour and 16 mins.
I was on at 6:30 and saw the Maintenance warning that the servers were going to go down. Again at 10 and 5 mins. So either the latest patch shot down the log in server or the system is still down for Maintenance.
Must have tried 200 times and gets stuck on Connecting.. #1...#2...#3 and so on. Doesn't seem to matter which machine as it is happening on all of my four PCs. Internet is up and running fine.
Any ideas?
