Tech Request, Powerboost

Does anyone know what buffs and debuffs continue to effect their target at the higher value after powerboost is used, and then expires.

For example, Forcefields cast upon their target after powerboost will continue to give 38.5% def after the 15 secs of powerboost expires, the shield will stay at 38.5% for the full 4 minute duration.

The one that I am particularly interested in is Darkest Night, powerboost and apply does the -to hitt drop to the standard value after powerboost expires ?

And if anyone has the chance to post a list that would be wonderful.

Thanks

Powerboost will only effect the -tohit on DN for its own duration.

This is because DN works is that it continually reapplies the debuff on everything in range due to its toggle nature, ticking very quickly. FF shields on the other hand are a one-off 4 minute buff that is only reapplied when you reapply them manually.

Fearsome Stare, as a click debuff, should inherit the PBed -tohit numbers for the entire duration of the FS debuff.

Rough rule of thumb: if it's a toggle, PB will only buff it for its own duration. If it's a click, it will inherit the PBed numbers until it wears off.

ah ok, I also heard that cold shields do not keep the duration of the boost... is this due to their also having a res based extra to them?

You're half right The Cold shields don't receive any PB buff at all due to their having a resist component.

The FF shields also have resist components but they're flagged as unaffected by buffs/etc, unlike the Cold ones which can be enhanced.

AH ha!.. fantastic thank you silas, very very helpful. Since the Patrons have been opened to both sides I intend to make full use of 120sec recharging powerboost for defenders, the one thing that made me take my buffers from an illusion control set was the recharge on powerboost... now my buffers will be unmatched!

Thank you again.
