Shield:
Deflection at 1, True Grit, Active Defense, Against All Odds and Battle Agility kind of in that order. I personally tend to put Battle Agility (Range/AOE def toggle) at 22 after Stamina so you don't have THREE toggles to run early although an argument can be made to swap it with AAO. You'll want everything but possibly Grant Cover and MAYBE One with the Shield.

Super Strength:
Jab, Haymaker, Taunt, KO Blow, Rage and Footstomp are the staples. Hand Clap is the dog of the set (AOE high mag knockBACK) and Hurl is a lengthy animation.

It's very easy to soft cap a shield tanker; in fact you can get within 3% on just SO's with Weave and Maneuvers. Realistically plan on finding about 5% in Melee/Range/AOE IO bonuses.

Have a go at doing one.

He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.

I agree. Take a chance and build one. I dont mind sharing builds and I often ask for help as well but I think sometimes people are so afraid of making something totally wrong that they hamper themselves from learning what makes a build work RIGHT.

And that being said just because a build works for me, doesnt always mean it will work for you. You might not like the choices, or if a person like me who tends to build a combination of Concept and Effectiveness with Concept always getting top priority. There are some things my character just wouldn't do or some power choices that dont fit in his background for example I am NEVER going to take Ice in the blaster set because I get defense from frozen armor if its not an ice based toon.

Go ahead make a build.. play.. you can always respec !!!!

The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.

If numbers are so much more important than a teammate who is fun to play with, forget about the game altogether and go play with a calculator instead. -Claws and Effect-
