Why Liberty Is Home

After almost four years of hanging around on CoX, and seeing life on some of the other servers, I am always reminded of why Liberty has been my home from pretty much the get-go. I recently posted a listing of my new SG that I formed, and I know I shouldn't be, but I am astounded by the congratulations and coalition opportunites. Liberty, to me, continues to represent what it means to be a hero (or really good villain in some cases). I've said before, in another post, that we will have our differences from time to time, agreeing to disagree as it were, but we're just one big family. It has never been more evident to me than what I have seen since getting back in November. I am honored, and proud, to continue to call Liberty my home, and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else than with some of the greatest players in the CoX realm. You guys and gals are what make this game great, and I salute each and every one of you. Including Fitz and Budo. Thanks!

I agree with you that Liberty is a great place to team and game... I also agree about the 'family' feeling... however, I do need to toss in that some families are dysfunctional and I think that applies to Liberty Server...

We are one big happy family, just a little disfunctional at times...

I think that with the forum community we have along with all of the good players and/or good concepts, liberty is by far the best server out there. We have been host to most of the top pvp sg's (back when pvp was pvp) we have some of the best organizers when it comes to special events, and we even have Mystic Fortune incarnate.


i love my home

I've been on Liberty since I first started... tried Freedom but too laggy and lots of my friends went to Virtue so I got a few toons there but other than that I'm on Liberty.

If you see my global on other servers (other than Virtue) it's probably my kids playing, I've hogged all the slots on Liberty so they have to play on other servers

When I started playing I just randomly selected Liberty. Now with all the people I know it's hard to think of playing anywhere else.

Every time I visit another server I feel like Eddie Murphy in "Coming to America". I dont really understand slang terms and use them incorrectly, i am overly nice to a society that is bitter and corrupt, and I always end up sweeping Samuel L. Jackson and taking his shotgun with a smile.


Thats alot of work to switch servers... I am gonna stay here instead.

I was aware of, and interested in, CoH due to an old friend who was in the beta test, but it was another group of friends who finally convinced me in December '04 to bite the bullet and sign up.

These were the founders of the USELESS SG* here on Liberty, and though most of them eventually packed up and left for various destinies, I still had some real good memories here. My friend the beta tester wooed me over to his server - Triumph - but eventually he quit, too. After having this happen another time or two, I gave up for a bit.

Not entirely, though. I checked the forums once in a while, and one post caught my attention, namely GEL sounding the call for anyone to give Liberty a try, whether new to the server or old.** Recalling that I had started there, but more importantly the good times, I came back.

I'm still here, and I'm not moving again. As you said Geronimo, Liberty is home, and I agree on that point absolutely. My two cents, in the final analysis, is that the people here are good people, so why go anywhere else?

I have tried almost every server over the years and Liberty is the only server I keep coming back to, for the people here mostly. I do miss the old days when we could run a hami raid in less then 2 hours every week more like 2-4 times a week and maybe soon we can be back to that. but all and all Liberty will always be my home.

I started on Liberty server with my first toon. I been there since. THANK GOD for more character slots. Over the years I seen new players come and some old ones leave.... I miss some of them. I admit I ve also ried other servers (mainly when Liberty drama gets on my nerves), but I come back. I even had to transfer toons from other servers to here. In a way I would miss Liberty if for some reason it went away. But inthe end its homw cause of the people I have met that are good have outweighted the people that suck and are poor players.
