Assault Neuron's Tower mission uncompletable

During the Assault Neuron's Tower mission from Dark Watcher I was fighting Maelstrom, and he knocked me over the side while he was at approximately 10% health. He jumped after me and, I assume fell to the ground. He no longer appears anywhere on the map that I can target him. I've spent a good thirty minutes looking for him and waiting for a response to my petition. It's possible that he was defeated as a result of falling damage, but mission objective "Defeat Maelstrom at the top of Neuron's Tower," remains.

I'm extremely reticent to restart this mission since it took nearly fifty minutes for me to defeat Noble Savage, and I'm not particularly looking forward to attempting that again. At any rate, it doesn't seem possible to complete the mission given these current circumstances, and I think it might be something that bears looking into, given that Maelstrom does use attacks that have knockback at the top of a very high tower.

I have just run into this problem myself. I am hoping for an answer sometime soon.

Maelstrom has a stealth power. You can't see him when it's on unless you get really close to him, or he attacks you. That or pop an Insight, if you have one.

He won't die from the fall. NPCs, like players, can't die from falling. Their HP just go to 0.01.

He was on a ledge when that happened to me. Must have searched 30 minutes trying to find him.

What helps is to turn off all personal stealth and move slowly around the areas he could be. That allows him to see and attack you.

OR... abandon and reset the mission and be careful you don't lead him over an edge next time.

After having blown half my inspiration tray taking out James Noble -- being able to use Domination to keep him held long enough to take him down -- I wasn't interested in starting over again. After cruising around the whole map a couple times with the custom targeting macro pinging, I just said 'swive this' and exited to autocomplete it.
