Help With New Computer

Good Morning Tech Forumites!

Yesterday, my husband brought home a new computer. I tried for a few hours last night, but could not get City to run well at all on it.

I am not sure which settings will work well on his system, so I am coming to you! Help me get my husband's new computer up and running so he can get back into the City.

CoHHelper and Hijacklogs will follow.

There seems to be a problem with your video driver installation; CoH Helper should show a real date rather than 1/1/0001. So the first thing to try is to download the newest drivers you can find and install them. You may want to use a driver cleaner program first to make sure the corrupt drivers are completed removed.

But even if that problem is solved, I wouldn't expect great performance from that computer. The video card really isn't a card, it's an integrated chip from what I can tell, so you'll probably have to turn down some or many of the options to get it to run CoH at a decent frame rate.

Well the HD 4250 is still an integrated graphics solution and not an actual video card so while it should run, I wouldn't expect it to play well at a high resolution and/or graphic settings. Ultra Mode is right out.

It's less powerful than an nVidia 9400GT card, probably in the ballpark of nVidia's integrated 9300/9400 but still faster than Intel's.

Like most store bought PCs, it has a tiny 250W power supply unit (PSU) that for all practical purposes prevents you from installing even a modest video card without also swapping out the PSU.
