Maybe that's WHY they didn't get Broadsword. Well that and the fact that Parry would probably be overpowered on a tank. (Brutes didn't get Broadsword ether.....)

I'd be rolling a Dark Armor/Broadsword the day it's proliferated if they ever DO get it though.

I suspect Tanks won't be getting SR either (Since Tanker SR would be softcapped without even trying)

I really dislike the idea of Tanks and Brutes "never" getting Broadsword/Katana, similar to how I do not like how Scrappers are "never" getting Super Strength or Energy Melee.

I know you didn't use the word never, but I wanted to use it because it feels like some stuff is never going to get ported over.

Why not let Tanks have Super Reflexes? Not everybody wants to use a shield or ice armor for Defense. The balancing, I leave up to the developers. Eff, why am I talking about Tanks? I don't even like that AT!

I suspect because the devs are reluctant to give a powerset to an AT that could softcap with it with literally no effort. Tanker SR would softcap with just the powers contained in the set using SOs.

I am of course operating on the assumption that it would be balanced relative to scrappers in the same way Shield Defense is. In which case tanks would get 15% out of the toggles and I believe it was 7.5% out of the passives, before slotting. When I figured it out tanks would get around 47% defense with no IOs slotted whatsoever, and without any pool powers.

The downside to that is an SR tank would be helpless against certain things (a spawn of DE ripped through my SR brute like he didn't even HAVE a secondary. I literally jumped into a spawn and slumped to the ground before I even landed)

Slightly on-topic, I personally found Spines/ a lot more fun on a Stalker, since I had AS to help with ST damage at low levels. Plus all those AoEs with a huge crit rate from team buffs... mmm...


Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.

It probably sounds a little crazy, but I have made it known that I think SR could stand to use some sort of buff. Same with Regen.

As far as jumping into a bunch of Rularuu Overlords or Devouring Earth, Ice Armor and Shield Defense have that problem, to a lesser extent. At least they have tools to deal with such encounters; Hoarfrost and Shield Charge. Ice on Tankers even get to the softcap (well, within 1.7%) of S/L/E/N on SOs and no power pools. Sure it has the holes for F/C, but the Cold Resist is capped at 90%, from the total of something ridiculous of 120%. So there is the F/P holes. Shield Defense on a high end build can get capped DDR.
