You may be better served to ask this on the Brute sub-forum (here).
That said, my personal favorites for both team and solo are SS/WP and SS/Invuln. But really, most anything should work, except perhaps for Stone, since they are best when teamed with at least a Kinetic to speed 'em up some. Probably would really be a matter of personal preference if you ask me though, heh.

Hey all, ive been tryin to decide what brute to use for effective solo and grouping, any opinions are appreciated
