Problem with cohupdater.exe

The problem I am having always seems to pop up once the game uploads a new update or patch or new Issues. In the middle of the patch, it stops and says "cohupdater.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close". Once it does this, I can no longer get past this.

I have even tried downloading the game again into the same folder hoping that would fix the problem but with no luck. The only way I can get it to work is to uninstall the game and reinstall it which takes just about a half a day, which is no good for me because by the time it gets done, it will be time for me to head to work.

As noted I have taken the time to pull up the system information.

I`m having the same problem. & have the same OS as you. I guess my return to CoH will be short lived. Same kind of crap caused me to leave last time. ><

Try this:

1. Go to your CoH subdirectory and left click on CohUpdater.exe and chose Copy.

2. Go to your desk top and left click on it and chose Paste. This will Copy the file to the desktop (and *not* create a shortcut).

3. Double click on CohUpdater on your desktop to run it from there. If it prompts what directory to install CoH, point it to your CoH subdirectory.

Thanks for the reply, but I unintalled it waiting on a response. If however this problem happens again, and I am sure it will, I will take your advice.

You do realize this is player helping player and not official support? If you wanted immediate help you should have contacted them.

Sometimes player support is better. Fresh install is what fixed mine. ><
