Need a new PC tower

My current PC died on me. I haven't built one before so doing it myself looks to be a rather low option. I've poked around and done small stuff to my current tower, but that's it. Looking around likely $500, or so($700) price wise. Mostly looking at decent processor, RAM, and power supply. Graphics are card after that since I wouldn't be doing a ton of gaming, but would like to run current stuff decently enough. I've been so use to running CoH on low graphics anything would be an improvement due to my current PC being 4-5 years old. Hard drive space is a non-issue. Willing to go with lesser stuff(RAM, GFX card) if it's easily upgradeable. I tend to use computers for as long as they can go.

Im in the same boat as you. My mobo is fried. I have about 5-600 to spend. I just bought a new card (9800 gt 1024mb). Now i am just gonna go get a new tower instead of trying to piece together a mobo/pcu or whatever i may need. Now, i just have to find a pc.

Just seen this one at Best Buy. I think im going to get it and just do a couple minor upgrades.

I'll have to get the specifics later, but off the top of my head it's a Dell XPS slimcase that had 160GM hard drive, 2GB RAM, the card was something like a x600 maybe. For the processor I can't recall. I would have to look up my PC at Dell to get that info. I know it had a 250watt power supply that could max out at 275 IIRC.

Are the combo deals at newegg already put together, or do you have to do those yourself? Example

Okay, if you're really not looking to build for yourself, take a look at the Dell Inspiron 580 desktop. Go with the middle-choice. The i5 desktop, not the i3.

$650 with a 2.66Ghz processor, 4GB RAM, 750GB HD, and a Radeon 5450.

Yeah, the video card's nothing special. But that's upgradeable.

Literally, just take the base model and you're done. Then save a few bucks and buy yourself a nicer vidcard down the road.
