Unbearable lag

Ok, maybe my holiday connection is not the ideal one, but even so, being a 5 year vet player, and that means I'm used to have quite lag every single time new content arrives (no matter issues or events), I have to say that this time is simply too much... last time I could log in and play lets say in a "normal" way (forming a team, getting some hunting badges, playing some contact missions) was last Sunday night in Union...

Since then lost conns and general lag (not only power activation, but also reading what I'm typing or following a conversation) has become into a real challenge for my patience in both Defiant and Union, not only in Praetoria, where I have given up completing a tutorial cause I couldn't go past Rothstein without crashing or mapservering, but also Paragon or Rogue Isles, no matter trying to play tip missions or checking the market, everything works horribly and awfully laggy, at least for me.

I had agreed to join 2 themed teams in Pretoria every Thursday and Friday nights, but thanks to this "lovely?" lag I've sent message to my friends that I'm forced to stop playing and skip the 1st session of both teams cause I can't do anything else but staying online and praying for not being forcibly disconnected or having lots and lots of "lost connection to mapserver" messages every few minutes.

PS: Sorry if anyone considers this post as a kind of trolling, but I'm simply expressing how I'm feeling being unable to play while my friends keep telling me how nice and charming is having a rogue or a vigilante, or playing tarikoss being a rogue, while I can't even complete a simple tutorial.

try reseting your modem and router. also try a disc clean up and defrag.

Justice has had lag but nothing too terrible. Just some delayed powers and extra-crazy following AI.

If your friends are able to play on the servers fine but you aren't then it isn't likely to be a server problem. Some other problem may just so happened to have started on Monday. Such is the nature of "coincidence".

What does your /netgraph look like?

Re: netgraph, last night, Union server (information verified by a number of players on different ISPs).

Mostly the "green, green grass of home", with a green or yellow spike approximately every 8 seconds. Ping would cycle as follows: start at 2000, drop steadily to around 900 over a 4-6 second period, then freeze for 3-5 seconds, bouncing back to 2000. This is while standing still around a number of other stationary players, no powers on, in Studio 55, Imperial City.

[Edit: I will point out that it wasn't only the people in S55 who were suffering this - there was a big discussion going on in Broadcast about other zones, too. Further, I recommended that people /bug it so that it could be brought to the attention of those able to do something about it, since a few people seemed to believe that the GMs, Community team and the Devs should somehow magically know about the play experience going on.

Also, at around 11.00 UK time, it reverted to "normal" levels - ping slightly higher than I'm used to seeing (about 50 ns up), and everyone shut up about it.]

Kk, admittedly, I don't know if it's something you did or maybe it's related to less people logging in weekends, but last Friday I had no problems playing, no power activation lag, nearly instantly reading what I was typing in the chatbox as usual at home instead of having to wait 2-3 minutes... almost 5 hours of fine gameplay.

Think it might have anything to do with the servers being on medium to high load? instead of the normal low load?
