Huntsman Crab?

Here's a partial build for a "Huntsman" Crab, so named because all three grenade powers were taken from the Arachnos Soldier primary; an opening salvo will often involve these three attacks, one after another. It's presented as a mostly IO-only build, as I haven't started thinking much about IO sets for this yet; I also skipped a main travel power in favor of just using Ninja Run. Comments?

Just to clarify, a "Huntsman" is a bane who uses the Assault Rifle rather than the mace, as per the NPC that shows up from Arachnos sometimes.

I like to call what you're thinking of a blaster crab, but there's not really any convention. Here's the build for mine. I did almost every single arc on her through Ouroboros and had a ton of fun doing it.

I believe the term I've heard is "Guncrab".

My second build for my Crab is this. (And right now it's the strongest of her two builds, because she doesn't have Fortification to a point where it's strong enough yet, or even Serum at all. I tried to run a team with her last night, and she was getting creamed from all the large spawns we were going up against )

Why would you hate to say it? It's really easy to disregard such statements when there's no explanation. The build you posted has lower defenses and resistance but significantly higher recharge. Since the build I posted can continuously chain AoE immo & the highest DPA AoE attacks, it seems to be your definition of "not very effective" vs "very effective" is whether the bets are perma, regardless of personal survivability.

I immo the whole group, taunt them, they can't hurt me, they aren't hurting my teammates. It's incredibly clean. From the looks of it, your strat is to mix pets into chaos and hope they stay packed nicely enough that your cones are still effective.

Yeah, I can see it in some situations, but if you really think it's that black and white you're dreaming. Unless you're being ironic and intentionally posting a more expensive build that's not much more effective...
