Can you not handle all the current moderation that needs doing by yourself? Are you having a problem with bad things happening in your channel if you are not there?
If you answer no to both of these then there really is no need to share the star with anyone, and it only opens up the door for potential trouble should your trust in someone be misplaced, as sadly even the nicest of people can go a bit mental over imaginary make believe power.
For the most part I have not seen any rabid non LFG conversations taking place. I would not promote just to have more mods unless there is a problem.
Just a quick question for all global channel mods - what are the pros and cons of having more moderators in a channel that doesn't generally require much moderation? I've been considering promoting other players in Virtue LFG Alpha for the purposes of inviting convenience, but I'm worried about possible abuses, especially since there's no way I know of to un-mod someone.
What are your thoughts on this?
