Issue 18: Shades of Gray is Coming!

The Issue 18: Shades of Gray content is now available for download prior to being released on the live servers. The download will begin after you exit your play session rather than prior to entering the game, and is purely optional - you can cancel at anytime. It's important to note that you will not be able to experience the Issue 18: Shades of Gray content until it has been officially released on the live servers. However, receiving it ahead of time will allow you to play right away once the content is available, instead of waiting for a large patch to download.

Please note that the current pre-download window does not contain any text but it will appear after you've exited the game.

Free Character Transfers for a limited time only!

To take advantage of this new issue launch, character transfers within one set of servers (North American OR European) will be free from Tuesday, August 17 to Monday, August 23. This is the perfect opportunity for you to hop between servers depending on your mood or interests and meet other heroes and villains to enjoy brand new game features with!

Free Respec, Tailor token and Global Chat handle token

All players with an active account as of Monday, August 16 will receive one free Character Respec token per character, as well as one Tailor token per unlocked costume, and the ability to change their global chat handle.

Please note: if you still have a free Respec token on Monday, August 16, you will NOT be able to accumulate an additional token as the limit is one per existing character. We recommend you use it beforehand so you can obtain a brand new one.

Hey folks

This is just a quick reminder that respecs granted through this process do not stack! So if you have a respec left from I17 or before and might be feeling the need for a respec soon, now is the time to use it! That way the respec granted with I18 will be shiny and new sitting in your tray. Something to think about with this weekend leading towards the release of Issue 18 Shades of Gray and City of Heroes Going Rogue.
