Remove the pointless timesink missions that give no exp

After they added the abandon mission feature, they removed the mission completion exp from at least defeat, talk and patrol missions, to avoid exploits I think.

It has been nagging me for quite some time, but what prompted me to write this suggestion is I just finished doing Gordon Stacys mission where I had to run back and forth in Skyway talking to people and delivering CDs. Crimson and Indigo love to send you running around a lot too.

As such it seems pointless to have "defeat X number of Y" or "go talk to this guy" or "take this item to that guy" or "go click things around the map (in the 'outside' world)".
Admittedly some of the missions are to forward the story, but couldn't you combine those with multipage texts? All the actions could be pretended to be done in the text.
"Please deliver this item to random dude", *you delivered the item*, "Thanks, Ive been waiting for this!", *you return to the sender*, etc.

At the very least the defeat X number of Y missions that have no arcs related to them could be removed so you can rather choose between two story missions right away.

CoHs mission structure has needed a though going over for a while now, Don't think they have the time or the personell numbers to do it.

My only question is the merit rewards. From what I understand of the system, and by no means the expert, but the amount of time/effort we put in game content like an arc or TF or whatever translates into our merit rewards.

So by removing these little bits, would we see a reduction in rewards? Yes, the do nothing, but if players complete arc like 25% faster because they are not running around, would we see a drop by 25% in rewards?

Otherwise, I don't have any real opinion for or against this.
