Is anyone else having problems with editing / publishing?

Asking this on behalf of Konshu who is having a few posting problems right now:

I published, exited the editor, started the mission in AE, played it, decided I wanted to make a minor change, and exited after having played through a longish map. So several minutes had elapsed.

When I opened the file for editing, I was surprised to find mish #1 was mish #1, and mish #5 was back in it's normal spot, and none of the changes I had just made - and played! - were in the file.

So I fretfully exited the editor and started it up again. This time the missions were in their proper places and the recent changes were present. Whew!

I've had this sort of thing happening a lot lately, to the point where I regularly now open for edit, close, and re-open - check to be sure I have the latest edition - and only then proceed.

For the record, this arc I've been working on is published, and I'm only working on the published version. When I started encountering update problems, I saved off a version, but this isn't a situation of confusing local v published files.

Also, I've only been having this problem since like Wednesday or Thursday.

Anyone else?

I've had this happen since forever. This has been my general behaviour for publishing and editing published missions:

1. Click "edit".

2. Make changes.

3. Republish.

4. Close the MA interface.

5. Re-open the MA interface.

6. Click "search".

7. Click "edit" again, or "play".

If these steps haven't been followed, sometimes the old version of the mission would be loaded, presumably from some kind of cache.

This has always happened to me. I'm not sure why exactly it happens but basically, whenever you're editing a published arc there's some kind of delay between when you republish it and seeing the version you just published in the editor.

As a general rule, your arc is fine, but make sure you check when you're editing that it's the most recent version, as if you republish again when it's an older version, it will overwrite the one on the server and undo your last changes.

I always wait for the "Arc has been republished" message to appear, and then hit Search 2 or 3 times, before opening it up for editing again or hitting play.

I'll also take the time to zip around the room a couple of times with Ninja Run to give it time to update and still have that happen. You basically have to keep rechecking until you KNOW you have the latest version up.
