Framerates for Game
just out of wondering, but do you have both the power-supply and the case cooling to run a GTX 480 at full clocks?
Thats about what I'm getting FPS wise. GTX 260 216 core oc, on an older AMD 4400, 2 gigs ram, XP. Everything turned on cept AO. I did have to reduce the world details to around 93 for a boost in outdoor areas.
Redside tends to be a lil lower overall in the outdoor built up areas.
Hiya AQUA,
It's always hard to pinpoint the exact cause of low frame rates, especially at first. To me, with the hardware you mentioned and a smooth running system you should have a great deal of fun and smoothness in gameplay. Also, (I can't remember your resolution size- or if you even mentioned that) I'd /strongly/ research what an overclock on your quad 2.4 to say 3.4 + would do for you as far as frames per second in this game. Another thing that has helped me is reasearching/trying new drivers from NVIDIA coupled with clean installs of them.
*** I really think NVIDIA drivers struggle with ULTRA shadows PERIOD too. (Just my thought)
Don't be a mindless farm toon, we may need you on a non-soft SF someday. =)
I just updated my video card in anticipation for Going Rogue and to fully use the ultra mode settings. Was wondering what other people have experienced as their framerates in the game. Its better with the new card, but not quite what I was expecting from the upgrade and wondering if maybe there's something wrong.
Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4 GHz
4 GB RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate 64
nVidia GTX 480 1.5 GB GDDR5 RAM
I'm getting 20-30 out in the main maps and 40-60 in the indoor missions. Is this what everyone else is experiencing?
