SS/INV feeling kinda lost

Hello everyone, I'm a quasi-newb, I originally played CoV when it 1st came out (I still have my very 1st character, mercs/ta!)

I'd say about 2 months ago now, I decided to come back (had something like 1044 days unplayed on my MM) and see if anything changed, boy did it ever!

Anyways, I decided to make a brute, I gleened what information I could off the boards, but SS/INV seems to have gone the way of the dinos, in that everyone has already done it by now I'd imagine.

Regardless, I find myself at lvl 38, and I dont really know what to do or where to go from here, my brute only has about 4ish million infamy on him (red side gear never sells I swear), and I believe I've made him pretty alright for just rocking SO's (the whole IO thing is greek to me)

The question is, where do I go from here? How many slots do I put into Unstoppable, what powers do I pick now? Epic power pool? It doesn't really seem to useful to me, maybe Mu for some lightning fun, I could work that into my brute theme somewhere I'm sure.

Anyways here's my Build so far,

Hi my main Brute Exile, is a SS/Invin and I just love him can tank SFs and solo +3 easily. I followed "Call Me Awesome" guild for Invin tanks on my brute. I would recommend this guild for any peeps play invin toons its great.

I nearly always have soft caped def and 75%resitance to smashing and lethal damage, so I did not take Unstoppable as the crash makes you very stoppable and I just like to keep rolling on and on. I also did not take Hasten as the double end crash from Hasten and Rage was just painful
Welcome to the Invin Club

We'll I took hasten at 30, to help make sure rage is always double stacked so I do not get the -defence, and to also help keep the hits rolling out, even with the rage crash and hasten crash, I really haven't been having end issues, I only start having end issues if I mash foot stomp alot.

Unstoppable for me is a situational power, and If I keep an eye on the icon, as soon as its starts to blink, I usually finish off whatever it is I'm fighting and pull back for a rest. Since its a situational power, I once again don't really have an issue with it, it hasn't gotten me killed yet, haha

I'm thinking of slotting it with one +defence and some +end mods

Anyways, that's my thoughts

thanks for the guide it was a good read, but didn't really answer the questions I had

Edit: Do I need anything from the fighting pool?

Using SO's I'd suggest 1-2 resist damage and 2-3 recharge in Unstoppable, and wouldn't bother with end mods. From the fighting pool Tough and Weave are both good choices, and stack well with invulnerable. The prerequisite attacks (Boxing and Kick) are nothing special though.
Patron pools are personal choice if you have room or a hole in your build you want to fill, but have some very nice powers if you can fit them in. In particular, from Soul Mastery Gloom is an excellent single target ranged attack and Darkest Night is a toggle debuff that does -to hit and -damage, and Elec Fences and Ball Lightning from Mu are both good additional AOE attacks. You won't be losing out on much if you can't find room for them though.

Thanks for that, I guess I should say DO I need anything from fitness, as I run now, wont those just be a waste as they are not helping me anymore?

Or do I not understand the soft cap at all... lol

I think you're confusing the fitness and fighting pools. The fitness pool is very nice for brutes in general purely for Stamina, which keeps the SMASH going longer. The fighting pool gives you Tough and Weave which stack nicely ontop of other powers in Invul. I believe Tough caps your smashing/lethal resist which is handy considering those are the most prevalent types of damage in the game. Weave gives you more defense, thus making you harder to hit, and stacks nicely with Invincibility.

Soft-cap just means you're at or above 45% defense.

Ya, I totally ment Fighting, not sure why I said fitness, lol, Stamina is a must for this build, got it as soon as I hit 20.

Looks Like I'll have to work in some Tough and weave then... thanks for that!
