Fire/Regen scrapper, worth saving?
I'd suggest you let him sit on the shelf for a while before making any decisions, if you can spare the character slot. I19 will bring the Incarnate system and it's possible that it may have something to help you out.
Incarnates are supposed to be equivalent to 10 more levels of advancement, but without actually changing your level number. It seems a waste to delete a 50 if you can afford to let the slot sit idle for a few months.
*shrug* That's the exact same reason why I LOVED my Fire/Regen. Because he wasn't some boring run in and mash button scrapper. He was rewarding to play because I could kite around and have fun with him.
And his damage was amazing.
Well a tricked out regen with 20+% defense with IO's and do you have tough and resilience stacked that helps and recharge recharge to go with hasten I bet you up your performance by quite a bit. Heck tough + resilience alone made my fire/regen better he sits at 35 though because I got on to other projects

I have just finished bringing my third scrapper up to 50 and I am underwhelmed. While I thought that Fire/Regen might make an interesting combo, the reality leaves much to be desired. The major problem I see with the power combo is that Fire has no mitigation and neither does Regen. All battles seem to ride the razor's edge; either everything dies or I do. I'm considering putting serious money into him to give him some defense or recharge bonuses, but I'm wondering if it will really make that much of a difference and would be better spent on something else. Any advice? Is this just a bad combination?
