2 accounts problem

Hi,

I originally had an account to play on the US servers, but the sub on this ran out years ago. Fancied playing again, so patched up the game via the installer. Then I logged into my master account and applied my COV code (Had a retail copy with a code in it). I tried to apply this code to my regular account. However, instead I now have my original US-based account with an expired sub, and another europe based account with the same username, and a valid subscription.

However, I can't login to COH - when I put in my account name and password I get a message saying the account has expired. So I changed the password for the european account, and tried inputting that. Only now I get a message saying I am using an invalid username/password.

I've tried googling for help and looking here and elsewhere, and haven't found anything useful so far. Has anyone else had to sort out this issue?

It sounds like you're trying to use the US (NA) client to log into an EU account. The client for NA and EU accounts are different. You'd need to install the EU client to be able to login on an EU account.

Kitsune Knight right. Someone else needs to tell you how to access the EU servers. I think you have to change the updater file. Much like how you change it with -test to get on the test server but I have no idea how you do it for the EU servers.

I don't believe there's a flag you can give the US updater to switch to EU.

Just download the EU Updater. You can speed it up using the Test Server trick (start the EU updater, close it, delete the .checksum file(s), then copy the piggs folder from the US client to the EU client, then once that's done run the EU updater again).

I was having problems downloading the EU updater - tried getting it via the NCsoft master account page, but kept getting an error related to renaming files.

So I searched using the error message and found another thread that suggested renaming one of the files.

That seemed to do the trick, and now the updater is downloading the client.

So hopefully I will be able to get it all sorted out...!
