Travel Power Costume Pieces

I was curious why you can't have a permanent "Zero G Pack" or "Raptor Pack" costume piece for "Superjump" and "Flying". We already got wings and rocket boots so its not much different just a little add-on for the people that try and make their toons look like they don't have any powers. Like for example an Assault Rifle/Devices Blaster with Munitions Mastery. We got new recipes for temporary powers its time for new costume piece recipes.

They haven't made one that scales and looks decent with all the body types and sizes. That, I believe, is what's keeping us from *having* one. (Temp powers aren't held to quite the same standard as costume bits.)

Well, mainly because if the wings and rocket boots gave you powers without having actually taking the powers would mean that actually having Super Jump or Fly would be a waste of a slot when you could just wear wings or boots. It's already been established that costume pieces will never give you powers in this game. If you want that instead of the current (permanent) system, go play Champions Online. If not, and this was merely an innocent question, there you go, enjoy the game. To go back to the menu, press the pound key.

Memphis Bill is right. Just look at how those temp powers look with different body types. The larger the body the more the "costume" part looks screwed up. whereas the regular costume pieces look ok on just about every size body.

While I've always understood why these things don't work, I never understood why that couldn't be fixed. We already have the base tech to do something like this, as we've seen with the Crab Spider backpacks that scale with player models. Why are backpacks, jetpacks and other "hard" back details given such low priority that we can ask for them for what amounts to SIX YEARS and get precisely zilch?

I don't believe CRUDD was saying that the pieces should give you powers. CRUDD just thinks that the jetpacks should be able to be made in to costume parts that can be used like the Rocket Boots when someone already has Super Jump or Fly. Otherwise they would just be another Temp Power.

I like the idea about the costume pieces but i think they might want to make new models to keep the temp packs from looking like the costume pieces. redesign them maybe.

Well, here's the thing - Positron or Castle, some time ago, mentioned how they were probably driving Jay crazy with all the jetpack(ish) pieces they were requesting. This might be stuff getting introduced with NPCs, I'm not sure, but that's from better than a year ago.

If it's potential player pieces, other than not being satisfied with how they scale/look across body types, I have no idea why they're holding them back.
