I'm not sure I'd want a global channel increase - what I'd actually like to see are "Server channels" in a group of their own. So things like, say, Pinnacle Monsters, Virtue TFs, etc. can be "global" solely to that server, freeing up actual global channel slots for other things.
The type of channel does exist - [Admin] I believe uses it, and I want to say [Arena] does as well.

I don't care about Guardian ship raid coordination or Infinity monsters when I'm on Champion, f'rinstance.
arena and help both are server specific, but hit every zone and instance.

I do, too. No matter what server I'm playing on, I still have our SG global chat and Victory Badges activated. It's one of the purposes of having a global channel.
