Not adding anything to the wealth of info already said about Dark...
To the OP: Try Electric Armor! You still get a nice self heal, although it's on a longer timer...but it boosts your regen for 30secs after you fire it off, and reduces the endurance cost of all your powers. You get Power Sink at lvl 35 which eliminates any endurance issues you'd ever have (plus it's auto hit, no acc needed). You still get a handy damage aura with LF, and a base +20% rech from an auto power...which is freaking amazing. You also have an integrated mag 12.5 kb protection power with Grounded. You can get over 40+ Psi Resist too, and full Teleport Protection from Static Shield (which is quite handy if you PvP). The set is amazing with SO's as you have all those goodies you build for integrated into your lineup off the bat.
I have a 50 Kat/Elec and 50 Spines/Elec which has recently become my favorite farming toon.
back when the only person that was any solid help for DA on tanks was Jebe_the_Pirate, I rolled one to see what I could do with it. With his help, I put together my build and went to town.
To really test him, I made an AE mission with 10 of the praetorian AVs, including the really ugly ones that throw psi stuff at you. The goal was to see how many I could round up and hold.
Last time I ran it, I could hold 9 of them indefinitely.
yeah, I can't see DA on scrappers being too terrible. My Kat/DA is doing pretty damn well.
my favorite armor set, versatile, and damn strong. even Arcanaville says it is beast.
Dark Armor is like that kid you knew in school that didn't know when to shut up, and no matter how bad he got beaten down, he got right back up again and kept on talking.
