I believe Alienware uses a skinning program by default, which one it is, I don't remember, at any rate, set it up to not skin cityofheroes.exe.

It's almost guaranteed to be Stardock. The actual skinning file may be named differently depending on which version was released with that particular Alienware system but it should be found in the stardock folder. Run the program and tell it not to reskin anything in city of heroes directory.
If that doesn't work or you can't find the program then do as Father Xmas said and post a hijackthis log.

Ok here's the deal, I currently own, an Alienware M17X (Vid card is an ATI Radeon HD 5870 ) which is about 1 month old, I keep trying to load CoH and after the updater I just get that little Loading bar And never actually get to go past that and sign into CoH, has ANYONE else had that problem? and if so what's the issue I need to fix, I tried Updating my vid driver, rolling it back a few versions, turning off firewalls, allowing CoH on firewalls, ummm tried safe mode....I'm drawing a blank on where the issue's hiding, and Tech support is apparently swamped tonight....Any suggestions?
