again. absolutely NOT. no one cares what you are willing to do. it is what is best for the game. and your idea does NOT work for the game. learn how to use the market and roll your tickets you get from the AE and sell what you don't need. plain and simple. you don't like it, there's the door....
But what of the people who have no interest in the market game.. Or the farm game.. Why can't we play the game for what it was meant to be which is playing a hero or a villain..

And once you do a mission which takes pretty much the same it takes to do a contact mission.. You get tickets for some random stuff.. which 80% of the time you don't need and is listed on the market for 500 inf. |
I will tell you for what.. Because I would like to have a decent build like many other players. I want to have good build so I don't need to die 5x during a mission. |
If your gonna tell me your doing random AE missions just to check them out on a regular basis and not farming some sort of AE mission.. I will tell you, I just find it hard to believe.. I won't call you a liar.. But I just don't believe your just plugging in random AE missions. |
See the link in my sig? Copy of the various guides I've thrown up. Search for me in the Player Guides section, or follow the link... specifically to the MA tutorials. (Last link.) I wrote up a ton of them to walk through AE on release. Some things have changed a bit, yes.
So. Seeing that, want to re-think that statement?

Look AE has just not turned into what they expected.. Or what many players expected.. You can't find a veteran player that will say AE has made this a better game.. Veteran meaning someone who was here before AE came out.. |
While others have exploited, and the devs have adjusted to combat that, AE has made this a better game.
Even Salvage goes for crazy prices.. One day Iron Salvage is 100 inf.. Next day its at 5k because 2 guys decided to buy it all and resell it for higher. |
Not trying to criticize anyone here, but I am gonna point out the MAJOR factor that sets this game economy apart from other MMOs and the main reason why I think the developers should not make major changes to the system.
Lets take a look at just ONE special IO. (Luck of the Gambler Def/+Recharge 7.5%)
This IO is a top tier sought after IO. Its as close to a "Raid level" reward from some other MMO. Since I am a casual gamer and dont do "Raiding", if this were a typical MMO, this special IO would be UNAVAILABLE to me. No matter how much I played, I would NEVER get one, unless I joined and participated in a "raiding" Guild.
In THIS GAME, I can do a story arc SOLO and get 33 merits in 2-3 hours of game play. Thats 6 runs of a story arc that is possible SOLO. I repeat SOLO. In about 1 week of casual gameplay, I can purchase a specific, TOP-Tier reward SOLO!!!!.
The economy of the game is better than other games, so for that reason alone, I am hesitant to suggest anything that would drastically alter this aspect of the game. Casual players like me, DO NOT want to lose this aspect of COH.
Sorry, this is just my opinion on the game economy.
