Yea, this is how I'm feeling about the whole pvp thing really. I used to dable a bit with non-pvp optimised characters. Then I started leveling a toon to 50 specificly for pvp. Got a build and a budget for the IO's ready. Then they changed how pvp worked and I lost interest... Meh.

So I'm wondering if it'd be worth it starting over on another server with a lower PvP population so I'd have people to play with on the weekends.
That's not so much an issue of sever PvP population as it is an issue of having friends with different interests from you. So 'd say try and find groups of PvEers on your current server. No server has a particularly high PvP population anyway so no matter what server you're on there are bound to be plenty of PvEers it's just a case of finding them. Join the LFG global channels, or find a new SG that is more PvE focused. If you want a higher population server then Freedom and Virtue are the best but lack of PvP is not the same as abundance of PvE.

hmm. Nope. Not that I recall, at least. (I'd try to think of who I've seen, but other than EvilDad and the not-seen-in-a-long-time PeekABoo, I don't think I'd remember who was on what server.)

Come to Pinnacle.....we have beer

Though I'd say it really does sound more like a case of different interests. I like to PvP, but it's not all I do by any stretch of the imagination, if you got ahold of me I'd be happy to run some missions with you at least. Global is @Claws and Effect. I'm on pretty randomly, so it might take a few tries to contact me, but I'm usually willing to team for just about anything.

I have some lowbie characters elsewhere, and a couple higher levels on Virtue if that helps at all.

I've found hitting the PvP zones on any server at 5 AM protects me pretty well.

One of my friends who is a level 50 mastermind is a shivan addict. I usually tag along with him on my characters to get some too. His motto is "When the going gets tough, pop a shivan". :P We only encountered 1 other player who killed him and i wasn't with him at the time or i would have stepped in lol. Another time there was a player but he was only after a base and ignored us. he kept knocking out some of the boss turrets we weakened down a little but after a minute or so he found his own base.

I try to avoid popping one unless i'm against a elite boss or something, but he tends to use them on anything thats red... lol. Now when we went through time to fight dr aion in the bad future i could understand that... lol

Right, except now they can hold you for six seconds and you can't do a damn thing to get out of the hold, except hope you don't get mobbed by Stalkers and AS'd before TK detoggles, whereas before two Break Frees would break the repel and you'd be on your merry way.

The mez changes were probably the the stupidest part of the I13 changes simply because they hosed so many sets and instead of penalizing players who weren't prepared (i.e. didn't bring Break Frees or something with mez protection), everyone gets penalized (yeah, getting stunned for 6 seconds and not being able to do anything about it is so much better).
