Good PvE build for AoE

So im thinkg Elec/something. Either /elec, /wp, or possibly /shield. Any recomendations? I usually play Corruptors and im looking for a good farming brute that can destroy spawns. Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you considered Super Strength? Most of the top farming Brute combos have SS as their primary. It may only have one AoE in Footstomp, but it is a very good one, with good damage, mitigation, and a wide radius. Plus Rage is a good damage and ToHit buff. You can use the Patron pools to leverage more AoE as needed, namely the Mu and Soul pools.

Some good Brute farmers off the top of my head: SS/Fire, SS/Elec, SS/SD. SS/WP can work well on SOs too, though I believe the other powerset combos can outshine it once they have invested a little into IOs.

This is mostly from a farming perspective, though I think that in general PvE Fire and Elec as a primary can do well. In my opinion though, Elec/ doesn't have all that great AoE outside of Lightning Rod. Chain Induction is kind of incidental AoE, Thunderstrike has a smallish radius and the full damage is only on one target with the rest getting weaker splash damage, and Jacob's Ladder is just your standard small melee cone attack.

I am up for making SS for sure. I honestly just like the way Lightning rod looks haha. I have heard SS/SD is very endurance heavy? Is this true or is it ok? I do not know much about /fire so what would be the best (like I said I do not know much about brutes in general).

I find my SS/SD brute to be a little endurance heavy. however once i learned how to play him and watch out for the Rage drop, or hasten drop even, my brute became very enjoyable to play.

As for AOE's, I highly recommend Mu or Soul Mastery. I am currently running Soul mastery because i thought the -to hit debuff would help out in tight situations and large mobs.

I may change over to Mu mastery so i can have 2 damaging AOE's instead on 1 damage AOE from Soul mastery. The -to hit debuff is great, but im feeling the extra damage will be a better choice in the long run.

So i decided on SS/WP here is my build. Any suggestions are welcome
