Digital download questions

Hello guys, I'm new to all these kind of p2p games and this game,I was wondering if I must buy the client and all the expansions in order to play this game, if it's so where can I buy them from?, since I was looking for a digital dowload store site that allows me to buy them through paypal but I can't find any. On the other hand, if I manage to buy the client, will I have to delete my current trial client and replace it for the new client?. finally, will the digital download come with all the expasions? and after the purchase, am I going to get a one free month subscription?...

Thanks in advance and I hope you guys can answer me all these doubts since I really want to play this...

Ps: It would be nice if any of you could give me a link of an available digital download store that accepts paypal.

The game client is the same as the trial client. No difference so you won't have to download anything else. Just need to get a code (they sell them through the NCSoft online store which I thought took paypal...) and apply it to your account (upgrading your existing trial account).

EDIT: You should be able to use paypal to purchase through here: https://secure.ncsoft.com/cgi-bin/St...ory&category=2 (Just verify that the code you're buying is correct for your region. When I linked those they show North American game codes (for servers Freedom, Virtue, Champion, etc...). If you see Union in your server list you're running an EU account so make sure they're showing the correct region before you buy one...

The various versions of the game give you differing in game goodies. Architect Edition gives you, for example a code for one of the booster packs free. The Mac edition (which can be purchased by non-mac gamers by the way) gives you a mission teleporter power (sends you right to the door of the mission) plus some costume bits, etc. It's all the same game though and you only have to buy one of them to play.

There's also currently no expansions to buy (but there is one on the horizon, Going Rogue)

There ARE super-booster packs and various other codes that give you in-game goodies (see the NCSoft ONline store for those) but they don't have to be purchased in any particular order.

so, this means I only have to buy the code throught the ncsoft?, but I already checked and there are only websites that requires me to buy the client in order to upgrade my account, the worst is I can't buy this with paypal...

See my (heavily) edited post. Sorry about that.

The NCSoft store accepts paypal payments.

The client is free. Anybody can download it... and since you are already playing on a trial, then you already have it and wont need to redownload or install anything else. You just need an active account to be able to log in and play. Buying a retail code and applying it to your existing Trial account is all you need to do.

Er...just to be sure, what country are you in?

They have some weird distribution deals in certain countries that prevent them from selling stuff directly.

I'm from Peru ( south america ) but my paypal account belongs to my relatives who live in Atlanta...

Ooooooh...

I think Peru (and South America as a whole) is one of those places where distribution deals prevent NCSoft from selling directly. It detects based on IP, so maybe you can have your relative in Atlanta get your account set up with a code.... probably the easiest way to do it.

It's a bad setup, but sadly, it is what it is You won't have any problems paying for the subscription once you get it though.

Are you sure?, since the credit card and bank account are from the US.By the way, the page you sent me only shows retailers. I already tried to buy the client from bestbuy but I couldn't 'cause it doesn't allow me to purchase it with paypal.

Yeah. I'm sure.

It detects where you are based on your ISP so it doesn't matter what paypal info you give them. If you're visiting the store from a South American location, it will just give you the list of retailers. (Note this isn't because NCSoft hates south america. They just have a specific distribution deal that prevents them from selling online)

Like I said, best bet is to get your relative in Atlanta to go through the link I posted and buy one of the game editions for your account. They'll need your NCSoft username and password to do it.

Either that or find a boxed copy of the game somewhere.

So, if I don't want to spend 19.99 bucks, I will have to ask one of my relatives to do it for me?..

Don't forget to UPGRADE your trial account. If you just add the retail code to your trial account you wont get to keep your trial characters.
