none really needed in all honesty...take any blaster or corr (great starting toons) and go Ito zone...after u get the hang of it try some duels/small arena..once u get good try some big team arena, join one of the kb's at night...than make a FoTM psi/em and wreck face liek Friday deh 13th...make moar happy badoo wrk uberKO power slash

So when I'm just in the training stage does it really even matter if I'm slotted for PvP? Or even hit lvl 50 yet?

if your character isn't finished yet, i'd stick to booty bay during peak hours. You'll usually find a few low level toons trying out their new pvp toon there much like you are. Many of the high level IOed 13375 tend to stay in siren's call and recluse's victory. If you are looking to make a pvp toon ask here but also provide a more specific plan or approach you want to go with so we can give you appropriate advice. GLHF.

I suggest get to 50, max out KB prot (42-45) build some +HP, especially if its a squishy toon and then participate in KB's and team arena matches, just stay out of things like duels because then you'll think you're good (like me) if you beat an ice/ice dom on your psy/em.
