Critique please: SS/Fire secondary softcapped spec

From what I understand, -hit is basically the same as +def in a sense. So here we are, I wanted a spec capable of being ghetto soft-capped with assistance from Darkest Night. I have 29.78 s/l def via bonus+CJ+Weave, and -15.3 To-Hit via Darkest Night. In theory this should mean I have a total defense of 45.08% defense vs foes affected with Darkest Night and assuming there are no defense debuffs in play etc. I have all IOs @ level 35 for exemplar purposes, and I'd like to think this build would hold its own pretty well. Let me know if I am missing anything significant or if you have any pointers. Thanks!

I would slot the attacks and toggles a bit better. The attacks are probably fine with rage on. I guess the build is short of slots, so things are a bit under-slotted. I don't know if the endurance will be ok. The endurance usage from blazing aura, darkest night and foot stomp are huge, and there are endurance crash from hasten and rage. Maybe consume can take care of it. You have to give it a try and see how things go. I think you need a bit of perception, because darkest night drops easily when you get hit by perception debuff, for example when fighting Arachnos.

I changed various things in your build such that powers are slotted better, and the endurance recovery is higher. The s/l defense is slightly higher too. Other attributes are not as good as your original build, so there is a trade-off.

Thanks for the build. I think there's a good reason I'm not seeing very many tanky builds out there for fiery aura. Maybe I'll retain the mindset of melee dps only, and not worry about trying to tank.
