Run CoX in virtual machine?

What kind of VM? The one that comes with Windows? You won't get 3D acceleration in anything except the very most recent VMWare version, which is going to either prevent the game from working at all, or give you trash for framerate.

You can run CoH, and other OpenGL games, atop an Installation of Windows running under VirtualBox on a Linux. It, however, is slow: http://jeremy.visser.name/2008/12/18...-acceleration/ :: http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/475
It however, is not so slow as to be unplayable.
