There's more to the error than just the number string. Having the whole error message would be helpful.
Otherwise, it's some kind of application error. Not enough information to really give any specifics.

Mea culpa... the error is an "application failed to load 0xc0000006" code... I didn't notice the "c" in there at first. Otherwise that is all it says.
Still generic... 0xc0000006 could be anything if it's coming from Windows XP.
Trying to Install: If it's the installer, I get this error code on my brother's IBM Thinkpad a lot when it's DVD Drive wasn't connected fully into the expansion bay; it would give me a reading of the files on the drive, but none of the .exe files would work or give an error message other than that. Try copying the installer to other media (USB Thumbdrive at least 4 GB or larger) and see if that helps.
Already Installed: This could be a number of issues. If you're playing the game already, I'd leave a ticket with NCSoft's Tech Support. Otherwise, I think it's time to post a DXDiag report or a HijackThis to help us play whac-a-mole for you.
Does anyone know what causes an error coded as "0x0000006" to pop up when I try to load up this game on a WinXP SP3 machine? It's a bit aggravating...
