My pets are stuck

I was going to /bug this in game but the description is just too long.

I was in Sharkhead with my thug\poison MM, traveling with all my pets out. I took the ferry over to Cap and super jumped over to the face maker. I got the costume mission and left face maker and I noticed my pets weren't near me. So I clicked on one of their names in the pet window and saw they were back near the ferry. I jump back over there to see what they're stuck on and all the pets are running in mid air passing through all the buildings and docks. They enter the face maker and come back out.

When they exit the face maker they just stand at the door. They don't follow me and when I give commands the pets respond with text but don't actually move. I try to release them and I no longer see them in my active pet window but they're still standing there. When I try to summon new pets nothing happens. I can right click on an individual pet and give them commands and they respond with text, but don't move.

So I jump over to the ferry and ride to Port Oakes. When I zone in all my pets are back in my pet window and my MM does the upgrade animation, like when you zone normally with pets. But now the pets just stand by the ferry. Don't follow, can't release, can't summon new pets.

Next I tried logging out and logging back in. As soon as I log in my pets are already summoned and my MM does the same animation like I just zoned into a mission with my pets but they still won't listen.

So that's where I am now. Every time I log onto my MM my pets are already summoned, they won't move, won't follow, won't listen, and I can't release them or summon new pets.

Have you tried the command '/petcom_all dismiss'?

And if that fails logging in another character, or logging out for more than 15 minutes.

By the way, if you want in-game support you need to use /petition (not /bug).

After logging out for about an hour I logged back in and everything was back to normal. Thanks

Logging for 15 minutes every time I want to play in a new zone seems unrealistic.
/petition'ed this and recieved the following email, which fell on the helpful scale somewhere below zero. I would still like a fix for this concidering the MM character I created is a lame duck until I can use the zombies

Hello,

This will happen with pets sometimes when your character moves between zones. It's an issue known by the Development Team.

My best advice is to have your character attack enemies. This will sometimes bring your pets back to control. Alternately, moving your character to a new zone, followed by your character getting into a fight with enemies, should bring your pets back to control as well.

If you have any difficulties with this, please let us know.

Best,
GM Lloyd

I ofcourse emailed the GM back and I am awaiting any response.

It's a known bug. There's not an incredibly amount the GMs can do about it.

If you can find a way to reliably reproduce it, it'll go a long ways towards helping the Devs track it down and fix it (it doesn't seem to be that common, and I've never had it occur to me).

Unfortunately I can't repro at will, but it has happened many times to my Thugs/Traps MM and it's annoying as hell. Dismissing the pets does nothing. Or rather, they vanish from the Pets window, but the actual avatars are still standing with you. If you attempt to resummon while they're physically still present, the command fails. Attacking an enemy hasn't brought them back to my control. Although it's certainly "fun" to try that and then die because I can't handle the aggro w/out my pets. They respond verbally to commands, including the Dismiss command, but they don't actually do anything besides utter the response text. Sometimes zoning fixes it, sometimes it doesn't.

Incredibly, incredibly frustrating. The only sure-fire way to fix it is to log out long enough for your active session to be flushed from the server.

I'm currently experiencing the problem in the "Defeat Manticore" mission. When I zone into the map all is well; but when I click the door of the ship and zone into the interior map, I lose control of the pets. I'll log for a while and see if it will still repro. If it does, maybe the devs will finally be able to track it down.
