Beyond the abandoned station...

A while back I started a little project with my heroes on Virtue: I wanted to see what kind of base I could whip up, solo. I had been considering it for a while, but it was thanks to Fulmens and his prestige matching that I finally decided the time was right. I built up a nice little nest egg and then spent the month of May bringing my plans from paper to game.

Huge thanks to the base building community, especially The Skippylabs, Turbo_Starr, Stacker, and Angry_Angel for inspiration and motivation. Thanks also to Ska and Ly for keeping me entertained while the prestige rolled in, and of course a HUGE thank you to Fulmens.

There's a lot to the base that screenshots don't capture well; details and rooms. An overhead shot also proved difficult due to the nature of the base. I'm always happy to show people around, if they're interested. You can find me at @The Wildcard in-game. Now, on with the images...

If you've been a resident of Paragon City for very long then chances are you've heard of the now defunct Red Line monorail system. It was severely damaged during the first Rikti War, and what remained of it was absorbed by the Yellow and Green lines.

While exploring one of the abandoned stations in Boomtown, the young heroine Firedust found a very interesting surprise beneath the rubble. With a bit of time (and a lot of cash) she has reclaimed this lost part of town. This is what other adventuresome travelers will find if they retrace her steps.

Hey, The_Wildcard,

I accidentally stumbled upon this thread, and I have to say that I'm captivated by your base-building prowess, and especially with such an interesting and well-integrated theme to its origin and design.

Truly outstanding base construction!
