Goat's color book
Ok this time I returned to Doom Therapy.
After seeing how High Lord Creep turned out with low/high lights. I started over fresh with Doomies, so it might not be the same colors i used the first time around. I gotta say I like it more than my frist go at it. Doom Therapy: Recolor by Goat. |
Some lighter strands and and some darker ones to mix it up a bit would help so the hair doesn't look like it's made of the same stuff as the cape and costume.
Came out much nicer this time around LG. One thing I might suggest is more contrast in the hair.

Thxs Airhead, I have two peeps in vent chat giving me tips and step by step info on some of the stuff. Big thxs for that to Doom Diva & Twizdedsoul.
Plus the link helped give me some ideas I wanted to learn and try. |
Speaking of which, the Doom Therapy REDO picture you did was awesome, awesome, awesome!
I love the colors, but especially the EYES.
Only thing I can suggest (that I wouldn't mind if you added it) is a shine effect to her shoulder pad. I'm assuming it's metallic in nature and therefore could benefit from having a little sparkle.
How To Add Lens Flare:
You could easily accomplish this by duplicating the layer and adding a lens flare to the bottom layer (Filter>Render>Lens Flare).
In the Lens popup box, position the lens flare over the area on the shoulder pad. Select the 105mm Prime lens type and adjust the brightness to about 80 or so.
Next, switch to the top (duplicated) layer and change the layer blend mode to SOFT light.
** NOTE: ** Experiment with the lens flare filter to get the amount of adjustment just right. Different colors and artwork will require different settings to get the shine effect realistic looking.
Good luck!
Ok back again.

No problem, Goat -- Glad I'm able to share a few tidbits that you can put to use!

A little something different this time.
One of my toons, Sandstorm Goatster.
The way he looks in game.
Lady Judgement was kind anuff to do a black and white pic for me this time. Thxs again to LJ for the gift art! That was the first gift art anyone has given me that wasn't from my SG. I really like what she did with it.

nice work your screen shooting skills may need a little work, it appears that the tree behind her is sprouting out of her head. At first glance it looks like she's got a great mess of green hair...totally irrellevant nice artwork again :P
Roxy On DA...Finally!
Another new pic this time. Long time Hero Dawn Member R3D-J4K.
How R3D-J4K looks in the game

As with most of my works it still a WiP.
I have been watching this thread; you have improved alot in a very short time keep up the great work!
That's a beautiful piece of work! I really like the way you preserved the pencil shading, it creates a lovely texture on the red cloth (and gives me hope that there's a way to colour a recent pencil art I got without losing all the lovely detail).
When I first saw this, a million thoughts went through my head. But it's not a Bayani-Thor'sAssassin cloning disaster, it's Burnme!
