Stuck on Connecting

hmm, went away for 30 minutes to grab a bite to eat... launched the updater and its stuck on connecting... 6

anyone else?

Try restarting the updater - the port it is using may be being blocked somewhere it will use a different port when it restarts.

Me to...just wont connect. I checked my net_disconnect log and get this...

05-25-2010 21:31:13 3720 893 disconnect error 10054:An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

It just keeps ticking up and up. Wtf, I was JUSt connect 5 mins ago?

Genrally, when my updater doesn't connect by Attempt #3, I close it, and flush my DNS cache. Nine times out of ten, I'm able to connect just fine afterwards.

Press the WinKey+R to bring up the Run menu (or Start -> Run if you don't have a keyboard with a WinKey; Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Run for Vista/Win7 without a WinKey). In the box, type the following: ipconfig /flushdns and then press Enter.

Thanks Sav... i just got that error...

Opened the network manager and told it to reconfig the connection...

Presto! All fine now!

Oh gee, duh... thanks for the heads up on that. I had to restart my computer on top of that. hehe silly me.

That fixed it for me, I'm curious did this just start recently or have people had this problem for awhile? For me it started last night, and oddly enough the same time tonight.
