That happened to me a few weeks back. Think I ended up logging for a while and the problemfixed itself.

This was mentioned in the Tech & Bugs forums sometime last week... the poster said they ended up finding an answer in the Mac Users forums.
Wish I could be more helpful, but I don't use Mac. Hubby does, but he gave up playing CoH on it.

Try using the advanced search.
You can use keywords or phrases (like "base edit"), select a specific forum to search (Tech & Bugs, or Mac Users), and there's an easily missed box to check if you want the results as posts or threads (I like posts, personally).
Hope that gets you going in the right direction.
At the very least, you should come across the folks who had similar issues, and maybe you could PM them to see what kind of solutions (if any) they came up with.

are you playing on a mac? This was a problem on macs earlier, but I too forgot how it was resolved.

There is a Mac issue that makes base editor icons appear corrupted at the moment. It's been reported already, hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

I'm having problems with my graphics. It's not so much the items in the base but it's when I want to place an item. The pictures are all distorted Here's a screen shot:
I've contacted support and nothing works. I'm running Mac OS X, Snow Leopard. I've reinstalled the game, verified files, lowered graphics settings, ran the game in safe mode, changed the windows resolution and NOTHING.
Pleeeeease help!
