Recovering Account question

Hi all- didn't know where else to post this so I apologize if it's in the wrong forum.

I had an CoX account, oh gosh, around issue 8 and 9. Haven't logged onto it since then. I know the in-game username and the account details (don't have the game codes because it's been so long); it was my account after all :P I don't remember the password or the answer to the secret question (how did I pick such a stupid question in the first place?!) so I'm locked out of it. Is there some way that NCSoft or Cryptic could let me back in the account? It'd be nice to return to CoX

1 - check your emails for details. Was a box or digital purchase? If the latter, the codes end up emailed to you. Also, if you have any digital purchases, having those codes can help.

2 - How did you pay for the first subscription month (not the "new account" freemonth) - CC/Debit or time card? If CC/Debit, they will ask for the last four digits of the card. If the time card, they want the whole thing.

1- I bought the CoH box then the CoX digital download. A lonnnnng time ago.

2- First month paid was with CC/Debit. I have a new account/card so I dunno what to do there.


Good questions but is there a link or something to account help?

Edit: I think I remembered the master account name and tried a few passwords but I get either "Wrong Pass" or "This master account has been permanently blocked." I don't understand the 2nd one- I've never done anything malicious to the game or bought services or anything; why would it be blocked?

Thanks for the link. I queried 'master account permanently blocked' and it says that the account cannot be accessed in any way now. This really, well, sucks. I had some veteran rewards on that account. Like I said, I've never spammed or bought influence or done any of that stuff on the account - the last thing I remember doing was a low level taskforce in Faultline - was it hacked?

It was probably because of repeated attempts to log in with the wrong password... I don't know if NCSoft does that but it's fairly common in other industries. I'd say you'll need to contact support to resolve matters now. You'll be asked to prove it's your account... I'd suggest going through your old emails to see if you can find the welcome email from when you signed up. If you got the downloaded version that email should have your code; if you bought the boxed version try and locate it so you'll have the code, they will ask for it.

Yes, too many failed attempts at logging in will block the account until you contact NCsoft about it.

I reactivated an account after 4 years with no problems, so as was mentioned, just contact customer support.
