But it sounds to me, like you need to update your graphic drivers.

But I have bad news.
You probably won't be able to update the driver. AMD retired their DirectX 9 / OpenGL 2.0 series graphics cards over a year ago. The last driver to support the desktop cards was the 9.3 release in March 2009. You'll likely have to wind up using the Mobility Modder on the 9.3 driver.

However, there may be hope for a non-modded driver. Earlier this year AMD decided to try and pick up the vendor slack since most (meaning almost ALL) laptop vendors weren't actually keeping their drivers up to date.

So I have a laptop that has a ATI mobility radeon 9600 pro turbo and I cant seem to get it to display the game. What happens is when I load the game and it goes to the character selection screen, the background is all black but I can see the HUD and names. I can select the character and log in but I cant see anything but the HUD and the blue names over everyones head. So i can interact with things and all and see all text and my HUD but thats it. Any suggestions?
Oh and quick note, it works fine for games like WOW, DDO, left for dead, just not COH
