Forgot I have 3rd slot and have made his battle armor from his planet .

Can't wait for tommorow , hit lvl 22 this evening and have lvl 25 enhances slotted , time to rock and roll

let's rock! =D the Sentinels got majorly upgraded!

farming is super boring, Philly. it's not what it used to be.

you're better off trying to get on (or build) an 8 man that plows through +2 radios. it goes super fast and those end of mission bonus rewards are very worth it.

and don't sweat not being caught up yet, phil. it just means that GB is still getting used to the new suit changes and his power can only grow as he breaks it in! =)

as for the base, you did a great job. i'm not one for much spatial reasoning, but if i ever have any ideas or requests i'll let you know!

* How to Mod COH

this is for bull and anyone else interested that doesn't know how to mod CoH with things like Corva's icon pack or new fonts.

go to the directory of your CoH game. this is usually C:\Program Files\City of Heroes

is there a folder called data?
if not, then you haven't modded the game yet.
if yes, then you already have so why are you reading this?

think of the data folder as a detour sign. basically, the data folder is a folder that redirects the calls from CoH to replacement information instead of the standard info in the .pigg files. so if you put, say, new icons, in the proper folder tree inside the data folder, the new icons will replace the old icons in the game.

the actual game code/install is NOT CHANGED. if you ever want to "uninstall" a mod, just delete it from the data folder, or delete the whole data folder itself and the game will just run with the normal calls since nothing was actually changed.

so in order to install Corva's new icon pack, download the zip file. if you unzip it, it should already have a data folder, so if you do not have a data folder you just unzip it into your CoH folder on your drive and you should be done.

if you DO already have a data folder, then you should already know what to do, but just in case: then just add the contents that are in the zipped data folder into the data folder you already possess.

some mods can live in similar directory trees inside the data folder (for example, Corva's new icons and his new inspirations) so be sure to put them in the proper place without overriding other trees.

Example:
New Icon might be located here: C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\data\blah\blah2\blah3\newicons\

New Inspirations might be located here: C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\data\blah\blah2\blah3\newinspirations\

they're both folders inside blah3. they share a similar directory tree.

that should help you install Corva's stuff.

the fonts work similarly, but you need to rename the new font you want to the name of the font the game is looking for. i'm at work so i don't have them now, but i can post them tonight or you can look through the Font thread i posted.

basically i copied ComicSans.ttf and ComicBD.ttf to the data folder (i think it's data/fonts/) and renamed them to the fonts the game is looking for, and now my game has comic-y fonts. =)

*WARNING: I'm pretty sure that to use Corva's Icon pack you need to be running the game using High Textures. if not the game would crash. at least that was the way it was once, i think. Corva? You there? Can you chime in on this? Is this (still) the case?

And the base you were looking at is my other SG, Vigilantes of the Night. I'd like someone else to design the Sentinels base, if any one is interested ... *hint hint*

Maybe you can link it to Corva's icon pack post too. This way its like a 1 stop shop type deal. Just ask Corva 1st if you want to link them together

I still want GB to hit 20 before we run tonight, so I can get those other missions (costume, cape and Mercedes Sheldon)

I believe I am 6 or 7 bubs from lvl, but I can't be sure ... No worries if I don't catch up beforehand, I'll most definitely get more XP with the team lol

You guys can play with XP on if you like. I'll catch up some way or another And no worries bull, we won't do anything too monumental tonight. Maybe just radios or something?

I can answer this for you. All of my Ui update packs include the data folder, so you don't need to create it beforehand. As a matter of fact, it might be less confusing if you don't create it beforehand. Just open the zip file and copy the "data" folder directly into your City of Heroes programme folder.

*normally* yes, but Corva is correct, he already packages his mod with the data folder, so there's no need to create one yourself. As Corva said above, just open the zip file and extract the data folder directly into your City of Heroes folder.

So guys, after the team broke last night, I ran around a little more with GB and got him his cape and 3rd costume slot. I think I created a new costume to reflect his new-found powers. It sort of "explains" his power upgrade. I should have taken a screenie and posted it last night, but once I was finished, I went to bed. I'll post a screenie tonight after work. Thanks for helping me hit 21 guys, and I'll be caught up to you all really soon, so remember to turn your XP back on!

Last night was very interesting to say the least , it seems that Gleaming Bolt's powers have increase exponentially .

Perhaps it's the suit as he says but I know differently .

And Unaitus also since his return , has seen an increase in power as well .

Not sure what is going on with those two .. but I will watch them closely from here on out .

Corvana appears to have a armor that resembles my old warrior suit from the Destiny Coliseum ... but my planet was destroyed .

Could she be a survivor ... no that doesn't make any sense , no one could have survived .

This team is certainly getting stronger , but I worry about Radio and Rumble , and where is Crystal ?

Unaitus and Gleaming Bolt didn't respond when I asked about them last night , so are my suspicions unfounded about those two ....or am I correct that these two are not whom they say ?
