Project Idea: Aeonkind

The basic idea is to get a group of people to work on a series of Arcs that are meant to be played from 1-50 that are actual stories and have a lore of their own that fits into what's been told so far...

The basic idea for this lore is...

Dr Aeon when creating the mission architecture system built in programming into the BIOS of the system to create an AI to study the super beings using it to develop a way to artificially recreate their powers or whatever... However, considering the nature of who was presenting this tech all of it was looked over and all the replaceable parts were... This created a glitch of some sort in the BIOS AI which ended up creating many AIs and 4 factions, based around the CPU/RAM, Video Card, Sound Card on the "evil" side and the O/S on the "good" side. This world has been growing and evolving on it's own without interfering with the real world until "something" happens and causes one of the factions to contact the outside world.

That's pretty much what I got right now...

I would guess the most likely question is how to decide what becomes part of this lore and what doesn't if this gets big...? select a small group of people that go in and check the arc out and then vote on it... Also all arcs up for this would have to have their data sent to people to archive it just in case something happens where that particular arc comes down.

So... what do you guys think of this idea?

Also the "Aeonkind" name is just a temp thing as of right now... I'm sure a better name could be made up...

I'd definitely be down for this. As far as that whole division of factions according to hardware goes...eh. sounds a little too much like Reboot for my taste but that's something we can discuss. I like the idea quite a bit overall. Considering each account gets three arc slots this could get pretty big. That could be good or bad depending. I'd prefer not to use all my slots on this.

Anyway, I'm in. I'll keep watching this thread for info. You can hit me up in-game too. My global's @Timeshadow

the reasoning behind the factioning along those lines in my thought processes was because each of them have CPU/RAM (ie separate brains) which would create different paths of achieving their objective and likewise cause each one to take on different ideas which might lead to conflicts. The OS is the good side because it's the part that would have been put in place by the good guys.

Also it gives the 4 factions inherently different power set combinations to identify them.

It seems the most logical and useful dividing lines that would occur, but there is probably something better I haven't thought of.

edit: also... does this thread belong in the other forum...hrmmm no clue...
