Which is why I clearly stated that it was mostly a joke by mentioning the engine.

The main thing is, people keep trying to compare DirectX games to OpenGL games and it's not even close to being the same thing.

DirectX driver support is WAY ahead of OpenGL driver support. Partially because there are more games written to use DirectX. That alone causes more driver bugs to be identified and they are generally more quickly fixed since those bugs usually affect a larger number of games.

My van runs much faster than my flat-bottomed boat, but if I try to use my van to get to my favorite fishing spot it isn't going to run very well.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.

Well my travels have hardly been exhaustive, but, barring actual rubberbanding lag spikes, I have yet to find a place where my play is anything less than perfectly smooth. I haven't had time and opportunity to do a raid yet, but that's about the only circumstance I can imagine right now that would make me stutter in the least.

It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.

Smooth is relative though. What FPS do you get looking out over Mercy Island from just beyond the base portal?

Branching Paragon Police Department Epic Archetype, please!
