One time I mapserver'd while in Ouroboros and when I re-logged on, I was in the area below the "water" when you usually hit the bottom. I was quite a distance from the top. If I didn't have fly, I have no idea how I would've gotten out.
I logged onto a non-flying character the other night and as the bar to Talos was 2/3rd the way to the end, I heard a 'splash' sound...my toon appeared in the middle of the ocean. (I had left her at WW.) About 3 seconds after that, the screen changed, and she was in WW as she should have been...strange. Dang Nemesis and his cursed plots...

My friend and I were teamed on lowbies in Steel Canyon on Virtue. We tried zoning in to a radio mission and both mapserv'd during zone in. It kicked us back to the door, with the "no map" error followed by the classic "mapserver disconnected" message. So we both tried the old technique of logging out while mapserv'd in order to speed up the process.
It kicked both of us to just the sky of Steel Canyon. No buildings, no characters, no trees, no UI, just the sky. And then continued cycling through from sunset into night.
